Ahoy Gongoozlers, welcome to the Canalrace!

You’ve taken the first step towards a very long run. Possibly while sitting down. A promising start.

We’re here to help you discover just how much adventure you can squeeze out of a towpath with our four events: MBCR 40, GUCR 145, LLCR 130 and KACR 145.

Whether you fancy 40 miles of canal-side adventure or a 130–145-mile journey that requires a slightly awkward conversation with your feet, there’s a place for you in the canal family.

Expect historic waterways, beautiful countryside, unexpected friendships and plenty of time to reconsider your definition of “a nice weekend away”.

Our races are low-key, volunteer-powered and proudly not-for-profit. Bring your determination, pack your sense of humour and join us on the towpath.

Wow! What can I say…..Wild Horse 200 did not disappoint! If you are looking for a rugged, beautiful, non stop 200 mile ultra, you’ve found the perfect one! Rhys and his volunteers treat you like family from the moment you sign up. From the personal phone call you receive before the race, to the unbelievable volunteers who want to see you to the finish line, to the incredible awe-inspiring landscape that Wales delivers. The entire event is top notch! And meeting incredible runners from all over, forging lifetime friendships is priceless. I highly recommend this race to anyone who has a zest for adventure!! This was truly a life changing experience for me and my hubby….. Thank you Wild Horse 200! We’ll be back!

Fantastic event that is totally made by the superb organisation and the amazing crew of volunteers.
The Epona is a tough event which you would expect for a 100 miler but the payoff is out of this world.
The views on the course are simply breathtaking but this pales next to the complete support of Rhys and the rest of the crew. I felt special at every single moment of this race right from the pre race phonecall, registration and pre race briefing through every checkpoint and right to the finish line, nothing was too much for the crew no matter the time of the day.
